Side

Cook the rice in the boiling water until the water is absorbed.
Add the milk to the rice and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 40 minutes until thick.
Stir in the salt and cool the porridge filling.
Mix the rye and wheat flours and crust salt into the cold water to form a dough.
Knead the dough until smooth and pliable.
Shape the dough into a block and divide into about twenty pieces.
Roll each piece into a ball, flatten into small discs and cover with plastic.
Roll out the discs into thin circles about 17 cm in diameter.
Spread an oblong portion of rice filling onto each dough circle.
Crimp the edges with your fingers to form a crust.
Bake the pasties at about 475–575°F for about 15 minutes until the crust is browned.
Heat the moistening butter and milk together until the butter melts.
Brush the hot pasties with the milk-and-butter mixture.
Lay the pasties on each other and rest them under a towel and baking paper.
Beat together the munavoi (butter, chopped eggs, salt and optional cottage cheese) and use it on the pasties.
